I thought that the coolest thing about Will Hobbs' visit was that he inspired me to write a story. At first I thought he was boring, but then he started to talk about all the books that he wrote and it inspired me to write a story myself. Not only did he inspire me to write a book, but he also made me want to read all the other books other than "Leaving Protection." Will Hobbs and his books inspired me to write a story about Alaska. I thought that was the coolest thing about Will Hobbs' visit.

The coolest thing about Will Hobbs' visit was learning about Russian Plaques. I thought it was cool how he visited the the Russian Bishop House and got a replica of the one of the Russian Plaques. Then knowing that there is only one found and that you can find them around here. It was also neat how he told us about a map, the map he said could be buried that was awesome, or in a vault in Russia. It makes me feel like a treasure hunter. That's why I think the story about the Russian Plaques is the coolest thing about his visit.

The coolest thing about the Will Hobbs' visit was that he wrote about South East Alaska. When I was reading it I thought it was really cool that in the story, Robbie was 1/8 Tlingit and Russian. That part was really exciting to read because I'm 1/7 Tlingit and Russian. I also thought it was cool that if we finished our book before he came, that we had an opportunity to go to a bonfire with the author. I didn't go, but I think it would've been pretty fun to go. I thought Will Hobbs was interesting to listen to. I liked hearing his stories and inspiration. Sure, it got a little tiring after sitting there for so long, but I really did like listening to him. I don't really care much for fishing, but I still liked the story. One of the coolest things was that he wrote about South East Alaska.

I think it was interesting to see Will Hobbs. It was especially fascinating to have some of his stories take place in the panhandle of Alaska. I would really like to read his new book. It sounds really interesting. It was interesting to have Will Hobbs come to Sitka.

My favorite was when he told us about the new book he is making called "Go Big or Go Home." The other is when he told us about his books and how he thought of them. How he goes hiking and with Big Bob or big old backpack and his nephew. How he wrote "Far North" how he just thought about people trying to get out of a strong curent and how he got the gun but forgot the ammo in the plane. Will Hobbs' visit was great. hope I meet him later in my life again.

I thought the coolest thing about Will Hobbs' visit was that he wrote about the place where I live. When I heard about this book I wanted to read it just to see if he had the facts right. I'm more than half through the book and almost all of them are right. I really want to finish Leaving Protection so I can find out what happens and finally write my book review. It was really cool that Will Hobbs wrote about the place where I live.

I think that it is cool that Will Hobbs chose to talk not just about his life like most authors do, but to also talk about his books. Will Hobbs is probably the funnest author to get to visit with. With other authors they usually talk about their life, but Will Hobbs talked about the books he has written one by one, but he also talked about his life as well. It was interesting to get to visit with the author because he was fun to talk to. My favorite part of his visit was that he talked about his books, and his experiences, not just his life. I hope that the other authors that will come in the future will be as fun as Will Hobbs.

I thought that the coolest thing about Will Hobbs was that we got to go to a bonfire with him. At the bonfire we got smores and he recited the Cremation of Sam McGee. There also was an abundance of huckleberries in the area so I had some of them. He also did a presentation to the school. He talked about three of the books he wrote which were Far North, Leaving Protection, and Wild Man Island. That is what I thought was cool about the bonfire and Will Hobbs' presentation.

I thought the coolest thing about Will Hobbs' when he visited was that he used places and things from trips. Like when he told us about a plan that had to land in a river when the engine died, then used it for one of his stories. He also used one of his fishing trips, and planks to make "Leaving Protection". he also used a time when he went kayaking to make "Wild Man Island". That's what I thought was cool.

Will Hobbs' presentation was awesome. He tought me even more about SE Alaska. The book "Leaving Protection" inspired me about fishing in the SE. I chose this book because my dad has a troller. Part of the summer I fished with my father. Fishing in the SE has tought me so much about life, death, and knowing what could happen in the stormy seas of the SE. I wish Will Hobbs' would come back and show us more about his life and books.

I thought it was fun when Mr.Hobbs came to our school. Although it was in my p.e. time. But that's a different subject. I hope he comes to visit us again. I bet he inspired a lot of people to start reading. The book I'm reading is "Wild Man Island." I wish I could of went to the bonfire. I wish I could go on the hiking trip with him every summer. I wonder how he got the idea of the new book coming out "Go Big Or Go Home." I wonder how it would be if I was in one of his books. If i were to write a book it would be about a pro skate boarder who gets in a crash and has to stay in the hospital then after he gets out he tries to learn how to skate again before his skating business is shuting down because of the accident. I cant wait to see him again.

One really cool things about Will Hobbs'visit was when he told us about when he was growing up. How he had lived in Alaska for quite a while too! I'd have to say it was really cool. I bet it was really cool how he went out on the trolling boat, with George Yates, and his daughter Julie. I do have one question for him though, is he a Sourdough or a Greenhorn?

I thought the coolest thing about Will Hobbs' Visit was the bonfire. When we went to the bonfire we made smores. I ate tons of smores. I think I had five, but Walter had about 20 marshmellows. After we finished eating smores and marshmellows, Will Hobbs told us a poem, and it was about a guy that died, his name was Sam McGee. After he told us the poem, we went back on the bus and left. That's why I thought the bonfire was the coolest.

I liked when Will Hobbs, and everyone who read the required book in time had the opportunity to go to the Rec. area, and eat smores. Everyone got to share a poem if they wanted to, and Will Hobbs recited the entire poem, "Cremation of Sam McGee". My required book was "Leaving Protection" which is probably one of my favorites. "Leaving Protection" is about a sixteen year old boy who needs to find a troller to work on, and has a great adventure with the captain, Tor Torson. I had a great time with Will Hobbs.

I liked Will Hobbs'presentation about his life. It was fun that he took his time to talk to us about his books, rotherhood, his travels and life. It was funny that he made fun about himself that he couldn't shoot right and his brothers can shoot better than him. He told us that the cover of Wild Man Island that the artist made was the wild man on the island and the lost boy was his son on the cover of Wild Man Island. I really liked his presentation when he came here.

He went to Craig and met the girl and went trolling for the first time. They caught a lot of fish and he cleaned the fish. He wrote about the girl in his book Leaving Protection.

I thought that Will Hobbs' visit was awesome because he said that the Columbia river is called the Graveyard of the Pacific. What was cool was that the both of us went to the Colombia River Museum, in Astoria, Oregon. He talked about the bar by Astoria and Chinook, Washington. His stories are about life experiences. He said that there is a bar of sand some where in Alaska. That is why his trip to Sitka was cool.

I like Will Hobbs because he is a very good fictional writer and I don't really read fictional books. My favorite book by him was Far North. Also I didn't know he had a name for his backpack. That was the coolest thing about meting Will Hobbs.
