Far North is a really exciting book. It is hard to put it down once I start reading. I like how even though it takes place in Canada, people in Alaska can also relate to the things the characters go through.

I have found so far that the book Far North, by Will Hobbs, is a very indulgent read about an alaskan private school and adventure/survival in a harshly weathered region of the world. This book also gives the reader a deep insight at bush pilots in alaska and the danger of their jobs. I think that everyone, even alaskans, can learn a great deal from reading Far North and benefit from the information presented.

I've read many wilderness and survival books in my day, all of which were pretty dull and not very interesting. I had expected the same from your works, but found myself pleasantly surprised. Far North is an exciting and addicting story that had me up for hours on end reading. The book kept me guessing what would happen next and was a pretty easy read for the most part. It aloud me to really get into the story and envision things which I thought was just fabulous. Thanks for sharing your works with us.

From the old folk tales to the desperation of being stranded, Far North keeps you on your toes. Hobbs colorful language gives the reader a very sense that they're seeing and feeling of actually going through what Gabe Rogers is. This book is an amazing read.

I think it's great that you're coming to Sitka. I'm reading your book "Far North" and so far, I love it. I was just wondering, "How did you come up with the plot of the book?" I just got to the part where they're trying to get everything out of the plane and I must say you're book is intense. I'm really interested in reading some of your other books and I can't wait to finish this one.

The Far North is a good, adventurous book. It is captivating because the way that the writer describes the situations that they get into is perfect. He writes in a way that makes you understand almost perfectly what is happening in the book. His descriptions pain a perfect mental picture in ones head. I would recommend this book to anyone that looks for adventure and excitement in a read.

So i just read the part were Johnny Raven dies, it was sad. But the book so far is really good. It reminds me a lot of Hatchet (read it in 5th grade). Im bummbed that Johnny died. Raymond and the other kid are gonna have a tough time. The part with killing the beavers was crazy, how they jus gave themselves to Raymond. But yeah good book

Will Hobbs to me is very descriptive in his writing. I've also noticed that he uses a lot of foreshadowing in his book. He must have spent a lot of time in Yellowknife because his description of the area makes it seem like he has lived there his whole life.

I think the cool thing about Will Hobbs' visit is that he went on a bonfire with us! On the bonfire we had smores. Then he told us a poem. The poem was called ,"The Cremation of Sam McGee".I thought it was a pretty cool poem. Then we ate a few more smores, and then we had to get back to school before school was out. I think the cool thing about Will Hobbs' visit was he went on a bonfire with us!

He likes Alaska's history with Russia. He is interested with the Russian plaques that Russian people buried. I like how Will Hobbs likes Alaska.
